Membership Information
Membership in Kappa Alpha Psi® is a solemn commitment — a lifelong dedication to the ideas and lofty purposes of the Fraternity. If you are interested in becoming a member and you live in the Columbia Metropolitan Statistical Area, send us an email and a representative from our organization will contact you with further details.
If you are a current member of Kappa Alpha Psi® Fraternity, Inc. and relocating, transitioning from undergraduate, or visiting the area and interested in getting connected, please contact Kevin Gleaton, Reclamation Chair.
The Columbia (SC) Alumni Chapter counts 192 active financial members — up from roughly 150 — and received the 2025 SEP Reclamation Award for that growth. Reclamation is not an administrative exercise here; it is how the brotherhood keeps growing.

Anti-Hazing
Kappa Alpha Psi® Fraternity, Inc. prohibits hazing in any form. It is not part of how men become members of this Fraternity, and it has no place in the pursuit of achievement.
The Fraternity participates in the National Anti-Hazing Hotline — a toll-free, confidential line sponsored by national Greek-letter organizations and operated by Fraternal Law Partners, a division of Manley Burke, LPA, in Cincinnati. It accepts calls 24 hours a day.
Anyone who knows of hazing, or believes they have been a victim of it, can call and leave a voice message. Callers may remain anonymous or leave their name and contact details for a follow-up call. Reports are forwarded to the national organization whose chapter is alleged to be involved.
